It started in the 416

416 Supply is Canada's first wristband store. It started in Toronto, with something I couldn't find anywhere.

01 · The name

416

Toronto's area code

416 is the area code for Toronto. It is where this brand started and the city these bands come from.

Putting it in the name was the easy part. Three numbers, and everyone from here knows what they mean.

02 · The gap

A country of many cultures

Canada is made up of people of different races and cultures, from every part of the world. You hear it in the languages on one street and see it in the flags hanging in car windows.

But when I looked for an accessory that represented that, I found nothing. Not a single one.

So many cultures, and nothing to wear that shows yours.

03 · The idea

So I
made one.

I wanted a way to wear my roots every day, and I love design. A wristband brought the two together.

It is small. It goes with anything. It sits on your wrist where you and everyone else can see it. And it gives me a canvas for original artwork.

04 · The making

How a band comes together

  • 01/04

    Designed by me

Every design starts with me, from the first sketch to the final print.

  • 02/04

    Drawn from culture

The patterns, flags, symbols and phrases come from real heritage.

  • 03/04

    Made with artists

Some designs are collaborations with other artists.

  • 04/04

    Limited runs

Each design is made in a small batch. No restocks. EVER.

05 · Your turn
